Guess the Score is a football prediction game that lives on X. You reply with your score before kickoff, watch your points build on the daily leaderboard, and if you finish in the top 20 you get a share of that day's rewards paid in BNB.

01 Overview

What this is

Guess the Score is a football score prediction game built around X. When we post a real fixture, you reply under that post from @guessthescoreX with the score you think it will finish. Get it right and you earn points. Those points stack on a daily leaderboard, and every day the top 20 players share a pool of rewards paid in BNB.

We kept the barrier to entry as low as we could. You do not need to download an app or create an account just to play. A reply on X before kickoff is enough to enter. When you want to follow fixtures, check where you stand, or claim something you have won, that is what guessthescore.xyz is for.

02 How to play

All you do is reply on X

  1. 1@guessthescoreX posts a match thread, something like Mexico vs South Africa, drop your score below, and that is your cue to join in.
  2. 2Reply with the score you are predicting before kickoff and make sure both teams are named, for example Mexico 2-1 South Africa.
  3. 3Once the match has finished we score your prediction against the real result and add the points to your total.
  4. 4Your points show up on the daily leaderboard, usually within a short while after full time.
  5. 5At 12:00 UTC each day we lock the leaderboard for that period and assign rewards to whoever finished in the top 20.
  6. 6If you are one of those winners you sign in with X at guessthescore.xyz, connect a wallet, and claim your BNB whenever you are ready. There is no expiry on a valid win.

You only receive one score per match and we count the best tier you qualify for. Your first valid reply is the one that counts, and it has to land before the scheduled kickoff.

How to write your prediction

  • Include both team names and a score. The order does not change what we record, so Mexico 2-1 South Africa and South Africa 1-2 Mexico are treated as the same prediction.
  • We recognise common nicknames for teams, but small misspellings do not count.
  • If you edit your reply or post again we ignore it. The first valid reply you leave is the one that stands.

03 Daily rewards

How the top 20 share the pool

Ranks 1–5 get 10% each, Ranks 6–10 get 5% each, and Ranks 11–20 get 2.5% each (100% of the pot). On a $1,500 pool that works out to $150, $75, and $37.50 per winner. On days when fewer than 20 players score, whatever is left over stays in the rewards contract and helps fund future pools. If two players finish level we give the higher rank to whoever predicted earlier.

05 Rewards contract

How payouts actually work on chain

Daily rewards are paid out through a dedicated smart contract on BNB Smart Chain. We kept it deliberately simple, but the contract itself sets hard limits on what can ever be paid so the rules are not just promises on a website.

Daily reward pools

Every day at 12:00 UTC we open that day's reward pool on chain as what the contract calls an epoch, with a fixed amount of BNB set aside for that day. The contract reserves that money straight away. BNB that belongs to a day's winners cannot be spent again, moved somewhere else, or pulled out by anyone on the team. We can only open a new epoch if the contract really holds enough unreserved BNB to cover it.

Claiming with a signed voucher

Verify

You sign in with X at guessthescore.xyz and our server checks that you were a genuine top 20 finisher for that day.

Authorise

We work out your exact reward from the final leaderboard and sign a voucher for the wallet you want to use.

Claim

Your wallet sends that voucher to the contract, the contract checks the signature on chain, and the BNB is transferred to you.

What the contract enforces

Every voucher works once. A successful claim cannot be replayed or claimed twice.
The total paid out for a day can never go above the pool that was opened for that day. The contract enforces that, not us.
Vouchers only work with this contract on BNB Smart Chain. They cannot be reused on another chain or another project.
There is no deadline to claim. If you won, your share stays reserved until you come back and collect it.
Transfers are protected against re-entrancy attacks and the contract can be paused if something serious needs to be stopped quickly.
Any recovery function can only touch spare funds sitting in the contract, never BNB that is already reserved for winners.
The simple version is this. Once a day's pool has been opened on chain, that BNB is for that day's winners and the contract is what makes that true, not a line in our docs.

Community and growth

The leaderboard is the centre of the game, but it is not the only reason to stick around and it is not the only way to earn. We want an active community where people actually get rewarded for showing up, and that has been part of the plan from the start.

Other ways to earn BNB

If you miss the top 20 on the board, that is not the end of the story. Part of the development allocation goes back into the community as BNB rewards, including things like

  • Regular quizzes where winners can pick up BNB prizes.
  • Active member rewards for people who consistently add something useful to the community.
  • Bounty app coming soon, which is our own bounty site where we post tasks for the community, and strong submissions or content that travels well can earn BNB.
You do not have to finish in the top 20 every day to earn here. Quizzes, community rewards and bounties are funded from the development side of the token tax.
